Co-Op Taxi Buys Royal

It is now official, Co-Op Taxi has purchased Royal Taxi’s Toronto operations.

The deal was finalized in March, Taxi News is told.

Co-Op will operate the approximately 200 Royal taxis as a separate entity within the larger corporate structure, largely due to existing contracts with Wheel-Trans.

The original Royal Taxi will continue its own operations in other GTA cities.

Time constraints prevented reporting of further details and comment in this issue of the paper, however we expect to be able to have a larger discussion with Co-Op management in April.
